I’ve been self-employed since 1987. That’s nearly four decades of meeting clients’ deadlines, helping clients solve problems, and making a living through creativity.
Retirement isn’t really about stopping work. It’s about changing who I’m working for. After all these years, I’ve earned the freedom to create on my own terms and devote my time to the things that matter most to me.
That means:
- Spending quality time with family
- Dedicating my efforts to enriching our social group
- Using my voice to advocate for marginalized communities
- Traveling and taking vacations without feeling guilty
- Creating art for art’s sake—without deadlines, restrictions, or client expectations
I’m not retiring from being creative, I’m retiring from client work.
The question isn’t whether this is possible. It’s how I build a life that reflects these priorities every day. I’m sure I’ll make mistakes along the way, but after forty years of building a career for others, it’s time to build a life that’s true to myself.
WHAT THIS MEANS TO YOU:
Once you are ready, we will:
- If you already own your own domain and hosting account. We just need to adjust some settings.
- If we own your domain and hosting accounts, we will work with you to get everything in your name.
- We will send you a list of all of your premium plugins so you can purchase using your own account.
- Provide all the graphic files that we have created for you.
It has been a pleasure working with you through the years and I wish you continued success.
Sincerely,
Jody Calder
